William Shatner plays a dangerous psychopath and aspiring screenwriter who escapes from an asylum. He runs into a group of people making a low-budget movie and forces them to make his script into a movie. The movie makes fun of the whole moviemaking process. It's not a great movie, but it's the funniest movie that William Shatner has done.

Some aspects of the plot reminded me of another movie that made fun of the moviemaking process, The Player.
