Pressed one for this, two for that.
I didn't find it a bit funny
When I got a human, he put me on hold.

I want to talk to someone,
But I'm growin' old
Spendin' my life on hold.

Wanted to fix a problem with my utility bill.
Fought through the phone menu to the operator.
Oh, what a thrill.
She put me on hold.

I want to talk to anyone!
But I'm growin' old
Spendin' my life on hold.

A telemarketer called the other day.
When she asked if I'd hold,
I knew what to say.
I told her, "No," as I hung up the phone.
